Joint Resolution 1/2026 establishes technical specifications and conformity-assessment procedures for primary batteries covered by Law 26,184, including batteries installed in equipment. Resolution 443/2020 was repealed; existing certificates retain their stated validity subject to applicable surveillance.
Scope depends on chemistry, form factor and intended use. The annex covers specified non-rechargeable batteries and expressly excludes primary lithium batteries, rechargeable batteries and certain other cases. Batteries fitted in equipment may also be subject to requirements.
We assess regulatory scope, restricted-metal content, marking, test evidence and certificates; prepare technical documentation; and support the relevant declaration of conformity and regulatory filings.
