Law 19,511 establishes SIMELA, while Resolution 611/2019, as amended by Resolutions 276/2024 and 67/2025, sets metrological control procedures. Product-specific rules determine whether model approval, initial verification, periodic verification or other checks are required.
Resolution 67/2025 provides routes for evaluating eligible OIML documentation and selected evidence issued in the country of origin, subject to conditions; foreign certificates are not automatically accepted.
